The Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Building and other Construction Workers Welfare Board on Saturday demanded a probe into the removal of the plaque of a foundation stone laid by former Chief Minister late Virbhadra Singh.

Board Chairman Nardev Singh Thakur said that the plaque of the foundation stone laid by the former Chief Minister was found lying under a tree near the block development office in Hamirpur on Friday evening.

A state-level office of the workers welfare board is being opened near the BDO office in Hamirpur. Thakur sought an impartial investigation to find out where this plaque was installed. He said it seemed to be an attempt to spread a propaganda against the state government.
