Devotees paid obeisance to Lord Raghunath at Dhalpur ground today. They also visited 12 deities in their camps that had come up for the Dasehra festival. While eight deities participated in the rath yatra yesterday, palanquins of four more deities arrived at Dhalpur. The deities will stay in their camps till the culmination of the festival on October 31.

Various religious ceremonies were also performed and the deities paid visits to each other’s camps. The “Jaleb” (religious procession) of Lord Narsingh was taken out in which palanquins of various deities along with palanquin of “Chharibardar” (chief caretaker) of Lord Raghunath Maheshwar Singh was carried to encircle the Dasehra ground. The ritual of “Jaleb” will be carried out for four days. It is believed that Lord Narsingh ensures the security and safety of the public during the festivities.
