Prof Mokta gets lifetime achievement award

Professor Mamta Mokta, Chairperson of the Department of Public Administration at Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, has been honoured with the V Bhaskar Rao Lifetime Achievement Award, 2025, by the New Public Administration Society of India (NEPASI). The award recognises her as a role model in the field of Public Administration and for her significant contributions to the development of the discipline.

The award was presented to Professor Mokta during a national seminar organised by the Department of Public Administration at Kurukshetra University, in collaboration with NEPASI, Advancing Public Administration in South Asia and the Public Administration Association of Nepal.

A gold medalist in Public Administration, Professor Mokta boasts an impressive 33 years of teaching experience. She has authored and edited seven books, written 16 activity reports and published over 83 articles in various national and international journals. Additionally, she has presented over 100 papers at national and international seminars and delivered keynote addresses at numerous events.
