Programme to assess health of economy held
The Department of Commerce at Jawali Government College in Kangra district organised a day-long national Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on assessing the health of Indian economy. As many as 138 academicians, researchers and professionals from various universities and colleges across the country participated in the national event.
Keynote speaker Siddharth Rathore, Assistant Professor at Mata Sundri College, Delhi University, delivered an insightful lecture on India’s current economic scenario and focused on key economic indicators, growth potential, global influences and policy reforms. He elaborated on India’s GDP trends, inflation, government policies and financial markets, rendering valuable knowledge to the attendees.
The session concluded with an interactive session in which participants actively engaged with the expert to gain deeper clarity on various economic aspects. The FDP coordinator of the college, assistant professor Nishant Narang while welcoming the participants and the resource person outlined the objectives of the programme. College Principal Dinesh Kumar emphasised the importance of economic awareness in building a strong nation. He said economic literacy was essential for shaping a resilient and progressive India.
