As many as 61 roads are obstructed across the state due to the latest spell of precipitation in the state. Maximum roads have been affected in Mandi district, where 31 roads are shut for traffic. In district Shimla and Kangra, 13 and 10 roads are obstructed.

National Highway (NH-05) is blocked at Nigulsari in Kinnaur district. The area is highly prone to landslides, due to which the road gets obstructed very often at this point. Besides, three bridges have been washed away or damaged in the districts of Kangra, Una and Lahaul and Spiti. Meanwhile, three power distribution transformers and one water supply scheme are also disrupted.

For the next few days, the weather department has issued a forecast for rain at isolated places. In the month of September so far, the state has recorded 17 per cent more than normal rainfall. Against the normal precipitation of 44.1 mm, the state has received a precipitation of 51.6mm. The districts of Mandi and Sirmaur have recorded the maximum deviation in rainfall this month so far.
