A person, who reportedly returned from Pune today, was seen in Anu village near the town, leading to panic among villagers. He alighted from a taxi at Anu Chowk around 8 am. He is a resident of Tauni Devi village. As he was to go for institutional quarantine, he waited at the rain shelter at Anu for the administration to shift him to the isolation centre. He reportedly visited a salon but didn’t take any service there.

Sources said around 11 am, a Health Department team picked him up from the rain shelter that was shared by many people before he was shifted to the quarantine centre at the Polytechnic College hostel. The fear of Covid-19 gripped people when they saw the health officials wearing PPE kits taking him away in an ambulance. Shopkeepers in Anu requested the administration to sanitise the area immediately.
