Solan, July 13
A 47-year-old man, who was in institutional quarantine, was found dead in the washroom of St Luke’s School, Kotla, in Baddi, around 6.30 am. He belonged to Odisha and came to Baddi on Saturday.
A Uttar Pradesh migrant Sonu, who was also in quarantine, noticed his body in the washroom with a toothbrush and tongue cleaner in his hand.
District Magistrate, Solan, KC Chaman, ordered a magisterial probe, which will be conducted by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Solan, within 15 days, said ADC Vivek Chandel. The man, during his health check-up on July 11, was found fit.
The deceased, Madan Mohan Sahu, hails from Odisha and had come to join work at a sports manufacturing company at Barotiwala. He had also worked in the area prior to the lockdown, said SP, Baddi, Rohit Malpani. The body was sent for a post-mortem.
