The DC instructed the police to identify recent good Samaritans so they can be felicitated. He urged all committee members to inform the administration about such individuals, which would help spread awareness about the scheme and motivate more people to assist accident victims.

He also announced that a district-level road safety workshop will be held on July 28, with participation from all stakeholders. Similar workshops will later be organised at the sub-divisional level.

To reduce road mishaps, Kashyap ordered the immediate removal of roadside encroachments and asked the Municipal Corporation to identify accident-prone spots so that road safety measures, including signage, can be implemented. He also called for a list of dried trees along roads to be prepared to ensure timely action for public safety.

Regional Transport Officer Anil Sharma said the committee that eye check-up and blood donation camps are being regularly held. Commercial vehicles are being inspected for overloading and fined accordingly. Awareness programmes are being conducted in schools and driving training institutes.
