Raising Day of 6th IRB celebrated

The 11th Raising Day of 6th India Reserve Battalion (IRB) was celebrated at Battalion Lines, Dhaula Kuan, in Paonta Sahib today.

Babita Rana, Additional Superintendent of Police, Sirmaur, was the chief guest. Bir Bahadur, subdivisional police officer, Paonta Sahib, was the guest of honour.

Rana took the salute of the battalion sleuths. While addressing the gathering, the officials said they were making efforts to secure more land from the district administration, as only 90 bighas was available. As per the government norms, as much as 300 bighas is supposed to be made available to a battalion.

Sports such as volleyball, badminton and table tennis were organised. Safety guidelines prescribed in the view of Covid-19 were followed. Cultural activities were also organised.

Students of ‘Nishulk Pathshala’, being run by the battalion, were also felicitated on the occasion.

Manoj Joshi, assistant commanding officer, 6th IRB, Dhaula Kuan, was also present.
