Rakchham in Sangla valley to have better tourism facilities: Bali
Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) chairman Raghubir Singh Bali today said that the state government would implement a Rs 5-crore development plan to enhance tourism facilities in Rakchham village of the Sangla Valley in Kinnaur district.
He stated that a large number of tourists visit the Sangla valley to experience its natural beauty. To further enhance tourism infrastructure, the state government had prepared a Rs 5 crore development project for the area, he added.
Bali said, “Under the project, paths in Rakchham as well as in Batsari and Kharogla will be repaired and public amenities such as toilets, watchman huts, wooden huts and watch towers will be constructed. A trolley-based trail will also be developed from Sangla via Debar Kanda to Sangla Kanda to promote adventure activities in the area."
He emphasised that the state government was making efforts to boost tourism in Himachal Pradesh and was ensuring that there was no shortage of funds for the purpose. He added that the government was working to develop essential tourism infrastructure in the state to attract more visitors.
In the coming times, several key projects would be executed in various locations, contributing to the growth of the tourism industry in Himachal, he added.
