The rally is designed to test the participants’ endurance, driving skills and mental resilience amidst the stunning but challenging geography of the Himalayas.

Bhadana said that the primary goal of this initiative was to promote adventure tourism in the region, enhance road safety awareness and support adventure sports skills among the youth. The event also aims at creating new employment opportunities for the local population, while raising environmental consciousness.

The administration has assured that the rally will be conducted with strict safety protocols, emergency medical support and a strong commitment to environmental protection and respect for local culture. Bhadana said the district’s natural beauty and global appeal make it a prime destination for such events. This rally will further strengthen its position on the world tourism map.

He added that the rally had received support and guidance from Suresh Rana, one of India’s most celebrated rally champions. His experience, enthusiasm and deep connection with motorsports would inspire participants and organisers alike, he added.

The Deputy Commissioner extended her gratitude to Himalayan X-Treme Motorsports for bringing such a large-scale event to the region and reaffirmed the district administration’s full support in terms of traffic management, ambulance services and logistical arrangements.

She also appealed to motorsports enthusiasts, tourists and local residents to actively participate in and support the event. “This edition of the Rally of Himalayas is expected to be bigger, tougher and more thrilling than ever before. It will be a true celebration of adventure, endurance and the untamed spirit of the Himalayas,” he said.
