Himalayan Bramho Samaj trustee Mela Ram Sangroli has said that members of the Ramkrishna Mission in Shimla were trying to sell land owned by the Bramho Samaj.
He was addressing a press conference regarding the violence that took place on Saturday night, in which seven, including three police personnel, sustained injuries.
He said the samaj owned 32 bighas land in the town, and the members of the Ramkrishna Mission were “involved with the land mafia”, and were trying to sell the land.
Lalit Verma, who had earlier addressed a press conference with the members of Ramkrishna Mission regarding the incident, was not the member of Himalayan Brahmo Samaj, but of the Ramkrishna Mission, he added.
