Ramp up facilities to promote tourism in Khabbi Dhar: DC

A meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office to discuss the plan to develop the Khabbi Dhar area as a tourist destination. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal, who reviewed the necessary facilities in the area and provided directives to the officials concerned.
During the meeting, the DC engaged in detailed discussions with departmental officials on improving drinking water and electricity supply in Khabbi Dhar, besides providing road access to Karadpehi and Dwaru villages. Repaswal highlighted that Khabbi Dhar is one of the many unexplored tourist spots in Chamba, endowed with natural resources that can be harnessed for tourism development.
He instructed the Executive Engineer of the Jal Shakti Department to prepare a work plan for providing drinking water facilities. He also directed the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department to complete the necessary formalities for establishing road connectivity.
The DC also directed the Tourism Development Officer to hold meetings with the Khabbi Dhar tourism development association to address various issues and take necessary steps for tourism enhancement in the area.
Additionally, discussions were held on the renovation and beautification of the Badi Jumhar Nag temple. Officials concerned were directed to install a gate on the temple premises and preserve the nearby water spring.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Magistrate Amit Mehra, Tourism Development Officer Rajeev Mishra, Block Development Officer Ramanveer Singh Chauhan, president of Khabbi Dhar tourism development association Rajinder Thakur and others.
