In a significant humanitarian gesture, the Himachal Pradesh Red Cross Society on Wednesday sent essential relief material from Shimla to support disaster-affected communities in Mandi district.

The aid package included 60 mattresses, 120 bed sheets, pillow covers, towels, along with bathing and laundry soaps, sanitary pads, toothpaste and toothbrushes. Additional items such as juice, biscuits, hair oil, candles and bottled water were also part of the consignment. The supplies were formally handed over to Dr Sanjeev Kumar, Assistant Secretary of the HP State Red Cross.
