Relatives protest youth’s death at Paonta Sahib
An uproar erupted at Nihalgarh in Paonta Sahib after the body of a college student, who was missing for the past three days, was found at Kacchi Dhank near Sataun this morning.
The aggrieved family members, suspecting it to be a case of murder, gathered at Nihalgarh and demanded a probe into the death case. The student had gone missing on March 1 and his body was found near a bridge at Kacchi Dhank this morning. The police first found an abandoned motorcycle and on search, found the body as well.
The student along with a friend had gone to Sataun on a motorcycle and was retuning when the mishap occurred. SP, Sirmaur, Nishchint Negi said that as per the post-mortem report, Nikhil died after his motorcycle fell into a gorge at a black spot. Several accidents had occurred at this spot in the past, too.
He asserted that no foul play had come to their notice, as per the probe and the aggrieved family of the deceased had been informed about this.
