A ‘Responsible Tourism Meet’ was organised by Not On Map at the Bhuri Singh Museum auditorium in Chamba on Wednesday as part of the “Chalo Chamba” campaign. The event aimed to promote responsible tourism and devise strategies to draw more visitors to the district. During the meet, folk singer Sannu Ram, alias Bittu Premi, was honoured for representing Chamba's rich cultural heritage at the International Himalayan Folk Festival in Siliguri, West Bengal. His performance earned him the third position among 150 participants showcasing diverse Himalayan cultures. The meet featured discussions led by the research team from SP Jain College, Mumbai, including Parmeet Kumar, Pranav Nikam, Prachi Shah and Simran Ojha. They shared insights on advancing the “Chalo Chamba” campaign to amplify its reach and impact. Bittu Premi expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasising his commitment to preserving and promoting Chamba’s cultural heritage through his art.
