A few days ago, the BRO had restored the road connecting the district headquarters, Keylong, to Jispa. However, the crucial Jispa-Darcha road, remains blocked, causing inconvenience to locals.

Tenzin, a resident of Darcha, expressed frustration over the road blockade. “Due to the closure of this route, we are facing major difficulties in transportation. Services like the supply of essential goods, emergency medical help and even daily travel have become challenging,” he said.

The residents are particularly worried as the road to Darcha is essential for accessing essential goods and services.

The BRO has been working to restore road connectivity in the region and restored key routes like Tandi- Udaipur upto Madgran and Keylong-Jispa.
