Revenue and Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi said the state government is organising Revenue Lok Adalats to ensure people can have their revenue and land-related matters resolved at their doorstep.
Chairing a review meeting of the Lok Adalats at Reckong Peo, Kinnaur, Negi said of 5,209 cases received in the district, 4,824 have been settled, while the remaining 385 will be resolved soon. He stressed that officials must work with full dedication so that people genuinely benefit from this initiative.
Negi also chaired a meeting of the state level Nathpa-Jhakri Project and Baspa Project Rehabilitation and Resettlement Advisory Committee, directing project authorities to submit detailed reports on rehabilitation issues. He underlined the importance of transparency and sensitivity in addressing concerns related to land compensation, employment, education, healthcare and infrastructure. He instructed officials to monitor all pending cases and present progress in the next meeting.
