Revenue, Horticulture and Tribal Development Minister Jagat Singh Negi chaired a meeting today with the executive engineers, assistant engineers, and junior engineers of the Jal Shakti Department’s Pooh division at the ITDP building conference hall in Reckong Peo, Kinnaur. During his visit to the district, Negi reviewed various ongoing developmental projects in the division and instructed the officials to complete all tasks within the stipulated time frame.

During the meeting, Negi discussed the current status of the drinking water schemes in Pooh, Spilo, Kanam, Chango, and Moorang in detail. He emphasised the importance of quality work to ensure timely completion and alleviate the shortage of drinking water in the development block.

The minister also held an in-depth discussion on the Rarang drainage scheme and urged the Jal Shakti Department officials to issue notices to contractors who are neglecting their duties. He reiterated the current state government’s commitment to completing quality developmental works.

He engaged directly with the present panchayat representatives, addressing their concerns regarding the drinking water schemes and assured them of timely completion of development projects. Officials and employees of the Pooh Jal Shakti Division were present on the occasion.
