Revised transportation charges for domestic LPG cylinders announced in Sirmaur district

Sirmaur Deputy Commissioner Sumit Khimta has issued orders to regulate additional transportation and labour charges for domestic LPG cylinders under the Himachal Pradesh Hoarding and Profiteering Prevention Order, 1977.

These charges apply to 10-kg and 14.2-kg cylinders and have been tailored the specific delivery zones across the district.

In Nahan’’s urban areas, including the municipal wards 1-13, Cantonment, Chidawali, Yashwant Vihar and surrounding localities, delivery charges have been set at Rs 11 for 10-kg cylinders and Rs 22 for a 14.2-kg cylinders. In rural areas of Nahan such as Judda, Devka, Senwala and Nichla Ambwala, rates have been set at Rs 10 and Rs 20 for 10-kg and 14.2-kg cylinders, respectively.

For farther localities like Katola, Vikrambagh, Ganesh Ka Bagh and surrounding villages, charges increase slightly to Rs 12 and Rs 24.

The highest rates, Rs 28 and Rs 56, apply to remote regions such as Deengar Kinnar, Chanalag and Manaria, due to logistical challenges.

The distribution agency for Trilokpur has been tasked with implementing rates of Rs 10 and Rs 20 for areas like Kala Amb and Nagal Suketi.

For remote locations, such as Jungle Bhud and Dakra, the charges have been increased to Rs 11 and Rs 22.

Similarly, rates have been outlined for the Sarahan Gas Agency. In Sarahan town and nearby regions, charges are Rs 10 and Rs 20, while for farther villages like Jamna Ki Ser and Bagthan, rates reach Rs 18 and Rs 36. In Paonta Sahib and nearby areas, doorstep delivery within the municipal limits will cost Rs 11 and Rs 22, while deliveries to regions such as Majra, Bhupur and Kyarada are set at Rs 12 and Rs 24.

Remote areas under the jurisdiction of agencies like Pradeep Gas Services will see slightly higher charges based on distance. The agency in Dadahu, which serves areas like Dadahu Market, Tehsil Colony and nearby villages, will charge Rs 10 and Rs 20 within the central town area.

For villages like Chuli and Kangta, the rates have been set at Rs 14 and Rs 28.

The most distant locations, such as Kotighat and Lanal Paler, will have charges of Rs 20 and Rs 40, reflecting the complexity of access.

These new rates aim to streamline LPG delivery services and prevent unfair profiteering in the region.

The DC said these rates were determined based on geographical challenges and logistics requirements, ensuring fair pricing for consumers while accommodating the delivery expenses of service providers.
