Rich must relinquish power subsidy, says Dharmani

Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani said people who can afford to pay unsubsidised electricity tariff should relinquish subsidy and contribute in making the state self-reliant. While talking to the media in Bilaspur today, he said the state government had already withdrawn subsidy to Class I and II officers of the government, adding that the MLAs and ministers would also follow the footprints of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

Earlier, Dharmani distributed specially-designed mobile phones, hearing aids and wheel chairs to differently abled people under the ADIP and Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana at Ghumarwin and Jhandutta blocks. He said the state government aims to bring the differently abled individuals to the mainstream by making them self-reliant. He added that ‘Sukh Ashray’ centres will be opened in the state to provide better living to the ‘children of state’.
