Rohru woman dies of scrub typhus

A 34-year-old woman from Rohru died of scrub typhus at Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC) here today. The deceased, Saroj, was referred from Civil Hospital, Rohru, with sepsis and septic shock to IGMC on August 8. She breathed her last at 3 pm today.

The scrub typhus test was done on Saturday, which came positive. The immediate cause of death is said to be sepsis with septic shock, with scrub typhus as underlying cause.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
