The Deputy Chief Minister, while addressing the gathering at the Renu Stage, said, “Himachal Pradesh is known as ‘Dev Bhoomi’ where people’s faith in deities is deeply rooted. It is important to preserve and promote the state’s rich cultural heritage so that the future generations remain connected to their ancient traditions and identity.”

He said that Shri Renukaji Assembly constituency holds a special place in the history of Himachal Pradesh, which the state’s first Chief Minister Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar had once represented. Former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, he added, also had deep affection for the region. “Both these great leaders played a pivotal role in shaping the development of this constituency,” he added.

He also announced Rs 50 lakh for the Khud-Drawid drinking water scheme to strengthen local infrastructure.
