A double-lane bridge will be constructed at Rangri village in Kullu district at a cost of Rs 15 crore to solve the problem of traffic congestion in Manali. The project is expected to bring long-term relief to commuters and visitors alike. Once completed, the bridge will ease traffic bottlenecks during the busy tourist season, facilitate smoother transportation of apple during the harvest time and improve routine travel for local residents, said Manali MLA Bhuvneshwar Gaur here today.

He laid the foundation stone of a new panchayat building at Chachoga, adjoining Manali. He added that the new panchayat building would be constructed at a cost of Rs 1.14 crore. Gaur assured the people of Chachoga that the construction of the building would begin soon and would be completed at the earliest. Once the building was ready, the panchayat would get its own functional space, ensuring that residents no longer have to travel to other locations for administrative work.
