Rs 7.5 cr proposal for Jubbal rural road will be sent to NABARD for approval, says Minister

Education Minister Rohit Thakur today inaugurated a Panchayat Bhawan constructed at a cost of Rs 33 lakh and a community centre built at a cost of Rs 22 lakh in Nandpur gram panchayat of Jubbal subdivision in Shimla district. He expressed hope that these two buildings would provide convenience to the public and facilitate the panchayat representatives in carrying out their work.

He said that a proposal worth Rs 7.5 crore for the Malog-Pansari-Badiyar road in Nandpur panchayat would be sent to NABARD for approval and its construction would begin soon.

Rohit, while addressing the gathering, said that several development works related to education, roads, health, drinking water, electricity, horticulture and building construction were being carried out in the Jubbal-Kotkhai constituency.

“Several roads are being constructed to ensure connectivity in the hilly region and transport horticultural products to the market. Besides, efforts are being made to provide better health and educational facilities to people.

The minister said that a teacher training institute would be built at a cost of Rs 17 crore at Dakaid village in Jubbal. It will be a big and important institute of this region. “Besides, a major water supply scheme is being constructed on the Pabbar river at a cost of Rs 38 crore. It is expected to be completed by the end of this financial year. Besides, the Electricity Department is working to improve and strengthen the power system n Jubbal division at a cost of Rs 55 crore,” he added.
