Sachin re-elected Kangra BJP head
Dharamsala’s Sachin Sharma, who has worked for the BJP in different capacities, was re-elected the president for Kangra organisational district on Monday.
Sharma, a known face in the district, worked for the ABVP from 1993 to 2012 — first as the state vice-president and then the district president.
Thereafter, he was entrusted with the district-level responsibility of the RSS.
He has also been a member of the party’s state executive.
Talking to The Tribune, a jubilant Sachin said, “I will try to live up to the expectations of the party, which has reposed its faith in me for yet another term. My priority would be to strengthen the party for the upcoming elections to Panchayati Raj Institutions or urban bodies in the state. In my previous tenure as district president, the district stood at the top in getting lead for Rajiv Bhardwaj, the Kangra MP.”
