Sanitary pad drive at Ghanahatti school
The Rotaract Club of Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, in collaboration with Rotary District 3080, conducted a sanitary pad distribution drive at Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Ghanahatti. The initiative was part of Rotary International’s national campaign to set a world record by distributing six lakh sanitary pads, promoting menstrual health and hygiene.
The event was graced by Ravikant Jain and Manvir Singh, president of the Rotary Club of Shimla Midtown. Sanitary pads were distributed among students to promote better health practices and ensure access to essential hygiene products.
An impactful awareness skit was performed by Rotaract members, focusing on educating students about menstrual hygiene, debunking myths, and encouraging open discussions to break societal taboos. The programme reflected the strong commitment of HPNLU Shimla and its Rotaract Club towards public health education and social welfare.
The event was organised under the guidance of Dr Hari Chand, coordinator, along with Rotaract Club President Ritik Jinata, vice-president Kartikay, Secretary Sonia Singh Rana and other members.
