Sanjauli college unit of SFI accuses professor of assault
Shimla, August 10
Accusing a professor of manhandling SFI activists during a protest, the Government Post Graduate College-Sanjauli unit of the student body has demanded his immediate removal.
Several SFI activists today staged a protest on the college campus, entered the principal’s office and raised slogans against the college administration. They also scuffled with the police personnel deployed in the college to keep the situation under control.
SFI state secretary Dinit Denta alleged that the student body activists, on Friday, had staged a protest on the college campus against the fee hike during which a professor manhandled several SFI activists and also threatened to kill them. Denta alleged that the professor also grabbed Sanjauli college unit secretary Anshul from his throat. “Despite this, a false complaint was filed against SFI activists at the Lakkar Bazaa police station,” he added.
He further alleged that when the SFI activists reached the principal’s office today to register a complaint against the professor, he again tried to threaten them.
