Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today said Van Mahotsav was being celebrated as ‘Hariyali Mahotsav’ this year.

The CM said this while presiding over the 73rd state-level Van Mahotsav held at Chowari by planting a sapling of daadu near the Chowari helipad.

He said the Forest Department had set a target to plant saplings on over 15,000 hectares this year. The CM also flagged off fire tender vehicles and distributed state-level forest awards for the years 2020-21 and 2021-22.

Later, the Chief Minister performed inaugurations and foundation stones of 22 developmental projects worth about Rs 162 crore at Chowari in Bhattiyat of the district.

Forest Minister Rakesh Pathania said there was no match between BJP and the Congress.
