The work of the construction of the new building of High School Chansari in Kharal valley facing Kullu town has been stalled due to the dearth of funds. More than Rs 1 crore has been spent on the building so far, and about Rs 80 lakh is still needed. The old building of the high school was damaged in the disaster last year, and 109 students of five classes (VI-X) have been receiving education in a private building since then. Their future is at stake due to the indifference of the government and the Education Department. The new building should be completed at the earliest.

Overcrowded private buses

Most local buses that ply in Shimla are overcrowded. The problem worsens during the morning and evening hours when several people are commuting to and from their offices. This practice is very unsafe and the authorities concerned should direct bus operators not to allow overcrowding in their buses.
