The Archaeological Survey of India is celebrating UNESCO World Heritage Week–2019 to spread awareness about the rich heritage and monumental archaelogical wealth. The department hosted awareness and participatory events for school students at its Centrally Protected Monuments in Kangra Fort.

Vijay Kumar Bodh, Assistant Archaeologist at Kangra Fort, said World Heritage Week-2019 was being held at the historic fort at Purana Kangra. Students from various schools in Kangra participated in a drawing competition. The participants took a ‘’Swacchata Shapath’’ to ensure cleanliness. They also took a guided tour of the seven-day photo exhibition organised by the department. A heritage walk to the fort complex along with a tour of the Archaeological Site Museum was also conducted.
