Now music from DJ systems would not be played without permission in any area under the Dehra subdivision.
Dehra SDM Shilpi Beakta has issued written strict instructions to DSP Anil Kumar, Dehra and Haripur tehsildars, Block Development Officers and police station in-charges concerned in this regard. According to the instructions, any person is found playing music on DJ systems arbitrarily (without permission), a case would be registered against the person under Section 133, and all the equipment of the music system would be confiscated.
Beakta said complaints were being received regularly from all over the area that many people from different areas blasted music from DJ systems at exceedingly high volume throughout the night, due to which patients suffering from chronic illnesses, school and college students engaged in preparation for their examinations and the elderly in the entire area are getting disturbed. Now, no person in the area would be able to play DJ music without permission, Beakta added.
She said the government had given permission to play music on DJ systems till 10 pm in wedding ceremonies or other programmes. However, some people had been playing music at high volumes throughout the night.
