The minister carried out a comprehensive review of the project’s progress and stressed the importance of maintaining uncompromised construction quality. He directed officials to conduct routine site inspections and ensure that every aspect of the work meets high standards.

“Every rupee in the government treasury belongs to the people of Himachal Pradesh,” Chauhan remarked, urging departments to exercise utmost responsibility in utilising public funds for developmental projects. He issued a stern warning that any negligence or use of substandard materials in public works would result in strict departmental action.

The Mini-Secretariat is being constructed at an approximately estimated cost of Rs 15 crore and is set to bring all essential government offices under one roof. Once completed, the complex will provide a centralised location for citizens to access key administrative services, while also resolving space constraints faced by various departments.

Chauhan also informed that developmental works worth over Rs 250 crore are currently underway in the Shillai Assembly constituency. These include the Rs 18-crore civil hospital building, which is nearing completion.
