Shimla DC calls for expedited, transparent public works

Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap today directed that all schemes related to public interest be executed at an accelerated pace, with transparency and quality as top priorities.

Chairing a meeting with all Block Development Officers (BDOs) of the district, the DC reviewed the progress of various development schemes and urged officers to conduct regular field visits and hold periodic meetings with their subordinates to assess ground realities.

He stressed the importance of continuous monitoring of development works at the village level, along with coordinated efforts to resolve local issues swiftly. BDOs were instructed to work in close coordination with officers from other departments for better implementation of projects.

The DC further directed that matters such as old-age pension, ration cards, marriage registration and school enrolment of children be handled promptly to ensure timely benefits to eligible citizens.
