Around 75 students of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in Government Dental College & Hospital, Shimla, were equipped with practical knowledge and skills to understand the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence (AI) in a professional and academic setting in a comprehensive two-hour hands-on training session on “Artificial Intelligence, Readiness and Advancement.”
The session conducted under the aegis of the Artificial Intelligence Readiness and Advancement initiative emphasised on a hands-on approach, ensuring a practical and tangible learning experience beyond theoretical concepts.
The session was imparted by the certified national trainer, Dr Gopal Ashish Sharma, Assistant Professor of Community Medicine at IGMC-Shimla. Dr Sharma provided valuable insights into the current landscape of Al, its future readiness and demonstrated various practical tools and pertaining to tools like Gemini, Notebook, ChatGPT and Perplexity.
Principal Dr Ashu Gupta said students were highly motivated after the session for regular and ethical use of AI tools in professional, academic and personnel activity.
