The district-level Himachal Day celebrations in Shimla will be held with grandeur at the historic Ridge on April 15, as announced by Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap during a review meeting on the event’s preparations.
Highlighting the significance of the occasion, DC Kashyap revealed that the programme would feature an impressive parade, with participation from Shimla Police, Traffic Police, Home Guards, NSS, Scouts and Guides, SDRF, Indian Police Reserve Battalion, and disaster volunteers. The parade rehearsals are scheduled to begin on April 11 to ensure a seamless performance on the big day. Adding to the festive spirit, the event will also include cultural performances by schoolstudents.
