Shimla Mayor Chauhan pays rich tributes to Lala Lajpat Rai

Shimla Municipal Corporation Mayor Surender Chauhan today paid tributes to Sher-e-Punjab Lala Lajpat Rai on his death anniversary here. He remembered Lala Lajpat Rai’s courage and contribution to India’s freedom movement and said that the nation would always remember his legacy.

Chauhan emphasised the significance of honouring India’s great sons, who had paved the way for the country’s independence. He paid floral tributes to the freedom fighter.

Artistes of the Information and Public Relations Department sang patriotic songs and bhajans on the occasion. Deputy Mayor Uma Kaushal, Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap, SP Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi, and other high-ranking officers attended the function.
