The operation was led by Jyoti Prakash, Tehbazaari Inspector, who conducted inspections across multiple markets to identify and remove unauthorised vendors. The team also confiscated the goods of the vendors found operating without permission.

Prakash stated that most of the unauthorised vendors hailed from states such as Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. He further highlighted that Lower Bazaar had recently been declared a no-vending zone, yet vendors continued to sell goods in the area, prompting today’s action.

The drive aims to ensure compliance with municipal regulations and maintain order in the town’s markets.
