Shimla, July 24
To speed up data collection for the e-parivar register in the town, the Shimla Municipal Corporation has handed over the survey work to the ward secretaries. The MC targets to complete the survey by August 15. After the completion of the survey, a unique ID will be issued to each and every family of the town. Besides, it will also help in checking duplication of data.
Shimla Municipal Commissioner Bhupinder Attri said earlier the work was handed over to common service centres, but they were able to survey around 6,000 houses only.
He said in order to expedite the process, the work had been handed over to the ward secretaries.
The commissioner said the work comprised three stages — the data collection, verification and uploading.
