Shimla: One killed, three others injured as car falls into 2,000-feet deep gorge

One person was killed while three others were injured on Sunday when a vehicle they were travelling in fell into 2,000-feet deep gorge near Pashada Khad on Rampur—Jhakri stretch, about 170 km from here.
The vehicle with four occupants—all employees of maintenance department SJVNL posted at Jhakri in Shimla district—was on its way Jhakri to Rampur when the tragedy struck.
The police team from Jhakri and fire-fighters from Rampur rushed to the spot to carry out the rescue operations.
The deceased was identified as Saroj Thakur, wife of Govind Ram, resident of the village in Nirmand Tehsil, Kullu.
The injured, including the driver, 28-year-old Satish Kumar, 23-year-old Pradeep Kumar, and 34-year-old Sanyaro, were shifted to Rampur hospital, and are under treatment.
A case has been registered, and investigations are underway, said police sources.
