Shimla school elects new student council
In a spirited ceremony held at St Thomas’ School, Shimla, Gauri Bhardwaj and Yash Thakur were elected as the new Head Girl and Head Boy, respectively, marking the formal induction of the Student Council for the academic year.
The investiture programme was presided over by Principal Vidhupriya Chakravarty and Vice-Principal Sharon Nanda. In the presence of faculty and fellow students, the newly elected council members took an oath and formally assumed their duties, pledging to uphold the values and discipline of the institution.
Leadership roles across the school houses and clubs were also assigned during the event. Riddhima will lead Chinar House, Atirath Singh Rana has been appointed as the Captain of Kasturi House, Divyanshi Himta will head Shipkila House and Akshit Chauhan has taken charge of Toshqui House. In the sports domain, Ashutosh Kaushal was elected as the Boys Sports Captain, while Sudiksha Negi will serve as the Girls Sports Captain.
Further enriching the council, Sakshi Verma was named Head of the Tourism Club, Isha will lead the Philately Club and Divyansh Sharma will oversee NCC activities as the council’s NCC Head.
