Shimla tops ULBs in Himachal
Shimla, January 11
Shimla has been ranked 188th in the Swachh Survekshan, 2023, among the cities having a population of more than one lakh. The city, however, has been ranked No. 1 among all urban local bodies in the state.
“Shimla has been given the state award first time for finishing on top among all ULBs in the state and surpassing a few other mandatory benchmarks,” said Bhuvan Sharma, Joint Commissioner, SMC.
Shimla scored the highest 100 per cent remediation of dumpsites, 84 per cent for cleanliness of residential areas, 83 per cent for cleanliness of public toilets and cleanliness of market areas. Overall, Shimla scored 4450.50 points.
