Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Mahavir Singh announced that the university’s corpus fund will be strengthened to support the welfare of retired employees and those nearing retirement. Addressing a gathering of former staff members, he emphasised that every rupee would be carefully managed to ensure the fund’s sustainability.

Prof Singh expressed heartfelt gratitude for the warm response from the retired employees, stating, “I am deeply humbled and feel responsible seeing so many of you here to bless me.”

He assured the gathering that the university is committed to ensuring timely clearance of medical bills and other dues for retired employees, adding that no one should face inconvenience after dedicated service to the institution.
