Shoolini University commemorated World Cancer Day with a series of awareness and support initiatives aimed at spreading knowledge, encouraging early detection and fostering a strong sense of community in the fight against cancer.

The campaign, which was held in association with YouWeCan, an NGO founded by cricketer Yuvraj Singh to create awareness about cancer.

The campaign commenced on February 4 with ‘Let’s Talk: Voices of Hope’, wherein survivors and supporters shared stories of resilience. On the same day, the university partnered with DATRI for a stem cell registration drive, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students and faculty eager to become potential lifesavers.

An awareness walk across campus was organised to emphasise early detection and healthy living. Volunteers circulated messages on cancer prevention, encouraging health-conscious pledges, besides promoting emotional well-being. The university also hosted a laughter show for bringing joy and stress relief to the attendees.

A fundraising campaign was also organised featuring interactive stalls that shared cancer-related facts while selling handmade goods and food items to support the cause. Taking their commitment a step further, volunteers visited Indira Gandhi Medical College and engaged with patients.
