Shutters and Strokes' book released at Pinegrove School in Solan

''Shutters and Strokes", a book on photography, sculpture and paintings, was released on the occasion of Himachal Day at Pinegrove School in Solan. The book was released by national awardee and IMA professor Dr Vedprakash Mishra and the event was graced by the mentors for 'Shutters and Strokes', Jagjit Singh, the famous ornithologist, and Ravindra Kumar Sharma, former principal of Art College in Chandigarh. The guests were welcomed by the school band, NCC pilots and other students.

World Heritage Day celebrations

DAV Public Senior Secondary School, Bharoli, organised various activities for students to celebrate the World Heritage Day. While slogan writing activity was conducted for students of Classes III and IV, Class V students participated in 'pot-making' activity. The 'poster-making' activity was organised for students of Classes VI to XII. All participants displayed their presentations enthusiastically and were appreciable.

Issue orders to form PTA

The student-parent forum has warned the Director, Higher Education, to immediately issue orders to schools, call a General House meeting and form a parent-teachers association or be ready to face a protest. The forum also demanded immediate orders to check fee hike in schools. The forum said more than 10 days have passed since it has submitted its demand charter to the Director Education but no action has been taken so far.
