Two unknown persons have allegedly stolen a 1-kg silver throne from Shirdi Sai Temple located in the Chakkar locality in Shimla. According to the complaint filed by the temple caretakers, the incident occurred on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. As per the complaint, two masked persons entered the temple premises during the night and stole the throne, along with the crown and other valuables. The accused were also captured in CCTV footages while stealing the items. After receiving the complaint, the police have initiated further investigation. SP Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi confirmed the report and said investigation was being conducted. He said the footage of CCTV cameras was also being checked and the accused were being identified. He added that the accused will soon be arrested. Notably, a similar incident of theft was reported in the said temple a few years ago.
