Simaur district administration on Monday launched an ayush kit comprising “three time-tested ayurveda formulations” to people in quarantine for COVID-19 as well as those on the frontlines in the battle against coronavirus.
Simaur Deputy Commissioner RK Pruthi said the kit—which has AYUSH Kadha, or herbal tea, made of basil, cinnamon, dry ginger, and pepper— would be given on priority to 2,600 people under home quarantine across Simaur and then distributed to 364 home quarantined people in urban areas such as Nahan, Paonta Sahib and Rajgarh.
Such people will also be given prophylaxis tablet-Samshamani Vati-250 mg (made of herb giloy) and arsenicum alblum-30 globules, he said.
The herbal tea serves as an immunity booster, Pruthi said.
