The Sirmaur Health Department has issued an advisory urging residents to be cautious with fireworks and vigilant against food adulteration during Diwali. Chief Medical Officer Dr Ajay Pathak highlighted a rise in food adulteration cases around festivals and advised careful purchasing of sweets and food items.
On fireworks, he warned about the health risks for those with respiratory issues, advising them to avoid high-smoke items like sparklers and chakris. The department has also prepared emergency response plans for any incidents.
