Sirmaur reports 20 COVID-19 cases; district total 536

Sirmaur reported 20 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the district total to 536.
Of the 20 cases, five women tested positive for the deadly disease from Paonta Sahib.
The district has 144 active cases. About 384 have been cured, and discharged from the hospital.
These are the close contacts of the Power Minister Sukhram Chaudhary—who had tested COVID-19 positive on August 6.
About 112 close contacts have tested positive so far. Cases of his primary and secondary cases continue to appear from the Paonta Sahib area.
DC Sirmaur, Dr RK Pruthi, said seven cases pertain to Mankind Pharma whose one unit has been closed after detection of positive cases.
Five people are from Pipliwala, two from Friends Colony and Bhatawali and one case each from Shamsherpur, Nariwala, Sabjimandi and Kotrivyas areas of Paonta Sahib.
