SJVN staff take integrity pledge on Vigilance Awareness Week
The programme is organised every year during the week of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birthday
Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) Ltd is observing Vigilance Awareness Week from October 27 to November 2 at all its projects and units on the directive of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), under the guidance of Bhupender Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, SJVN. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), SJVN, inaugurated Vigilance Awareness Week at the corporate headquarters here by administering an integrity pledge to employees.
Sharma said that observing Vigilance Awareness Week every year helped in creating awareness among the employees and the public, fostering greater sensitivity towards ethical conduct and upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency in both personal and professional domains. He encouraged everyone to actively participate in the vigilance initiatives and join the collective fight against corruption.
The SJVN is also conducting a three-month Vigilance Awareness Campaign from August 18 to November 17, focusing on various preventive vigilance measures. During Vigilance Awareness Week, various in-house and outreach activities such as capacity-building sessions, quizzes, painting and rangoli competitions, walkathons and declamation contests are being organised for employees, students and local communities across all projects and units of the SJVN. The objective of these programmes is to promote awareness and spread the message of building a corruption-free India, thereby fostering national development through shared responsibility.
